The mysterious Seven Mountains in An Giang, Vietnam

Seven Mountains (“Thất Sơn”) is considered as one of the most mysterious land in Vietnam, belongs to two districts of Tri Ton and Tinh Bien, An Giang province. This landscape which is a marvelous range of mountains, allures  many tourists and pilgrims to visit this place each year.

Thuy Dai Son Mountain (Water Mountain)


Located approximately 2 kilometers in Ba Chuc Town, Thuy Dai Son may be regarded as the smallest and lowest mountain of That Son with 20 meters in height. This mountain is called water mountain as the foot of the mountain is regularly sunk in water in flood season. The mountain offers visitors with the beautiful scenery of golden rice fields, and Ngoa Long Mountain far away.

This spot even becomes more stunning in flood season when there is only the tiny mountain in the spacious seas. The cool atmosphere of this spot also gives visitors great relaxation. The water pressure that impacts on rocks through such a long time, makes the rocks become smooth and flat.

Dai Nam Gieng Mountain


Dai Nam Gieng mountain which is 265 meters above sea level, is ranked as the fourth highest in the Seven Mountains. Located in Nha Bang town, the mountain has rugged terrain and offers visitors with the panoramic view of Nha Bang town when setting your foot on the top of the mountain.

Ket Mountain


Ket Mountain promises to give you the interesting experience when exploring the pristine nature. The path to the top of the mountain is formed by the local people when they come to this mountain to collet firewood. Ket Mountain provides the travelers with a chance to back to primitive and pure nature. Approaching the top is the time to have a panoramic view of the distant hills and the lush rice fields.

Dai Mountain


Dai Mountain is considered as the longest mountains of That Son with 8,000 meters in length. Dai Mountain, which belongs to Chi Ton district, is the combination of many hard rocks such as volcanic rocks, granite rocks, Jurassic rocks,…

The mountain has numerous variety of precious woods and birds.

Tuong Mountain


Tuong Mountain is the mountain of 145 meters in height and 600 meters in length, situated in the center of Ba Chuc town. The path to the mountain is crammed with the forest trees which hide the aisles.

Cam Mountain (Heaven’s forbidden mountain)


A legend has it that when being defeated by Tay Son troops, King Gia Long choose Thien Cam Son mountain as his refuge. Then everyone is forbidden to come to this mountain to avoid his disclosure. After that, people called this mountain as heaven’s forbidden mountain.

Thien Cam Son is the highest and most sacred mountains in the range of Thien Son. This place has become famous tourist attractions of An Giang because of its majestic sights, cool climate and the evergreen trees.
